Scott Wallace Campaign Calls on Rep. Fitzpatrick to Return Campaign Contributions from Disgraced Rep. Chris Collins

BUCKS COUNTY, PA – The Scott Wallace campaign is calling on Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick to return the thousands of dollars in campaign contributions he received from Rep. Chris Collins – who was arrested today on insider trading charges, securities fraud, wire fraud, and false statements. Fitzpatrick has accepted $3,000 from Rep. Chris Collins, with the latest donation coming well after the Office of Congressional Ethics found “substantial reason to believe” that Collins violated federal law.

This is not the first time Fitzpatrick has accepted money from criminals. He took $5400 dollars directly from Adam Kidan, a convicted felon connected to a gangland-style murder and accepted hundreds of dollars from Brian Preski, the GOP aid convicted for helping House Republican leaders divert millions of dollars in taxpayer funds to aid GOP campaigns.

Eric Nagy, Campaign Manager for Scott Wallace for Congress said, “Fitzpatrick touts spending his career ‘arresting politicians’ and claims to want to ‘fix Washington’ but he hasn’t done a thing to rein in the corruption that has tainted the Republican party and the Trump administration. Instead, he has happily accepted thousands of dollars from one of his most unethical colleagues. Fitzpatrick should return the contributions from Rep. Collins.

“The Republican party has become a cesspool for corruption and despite claiming to be an ‘independent voice in Washington,’ Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick continues to accept money from Washington’s shadiest swamp creatures. Unlike, Brian Fitzpatrick, Scott Wallace will fight for ethics reform and hold our representatives and this administration accountable to ensure our representatives are working for the people of their district – not abusing their office to get richer. Scott Wallace has refused to take any money from Corporate PACs or lobbyists and is only beholden to the voters of Bucks and Montgomery counties. Brian Fitzpatrick is beholden to Trump, Washington special interests and, apparently, criminals.”
