Scott Wallace Receives Endorsement from United Steelworkers

Bucks County, PA – Scott Wallace, Democratic Nominee for Congress in PA-01, announced he was endorsed by the United Steelworkers union. He released the following statement:

“I am honored to receive the United Steelworkers’ endorsement. The assault on unions by the Trump administration and its enablers in Congress has been relentless, culminating in two shocking decisions out of the Supreme Court in recent weeks, on forced arbitration and on the very right of workers to organize at all, in public sector jobs. And the assault continues, with devastating cuts planned for Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security — driven by the tax cuts for the rich and the multi-trillion dollar debt they created. Representative Brian Fitzpatrick is complicit in all of this. He voted for the GOP’s irresponsible tax cuts and supports the so-called Balanced Budget Amendment which would devastate Social Security and Medicare.”

“In Congress, I will be an independent voice in the fight to safeguard the bedrock principles that protect working families in Bucks and Montgomery counties. I promise to fight for fair trade policies, stand up to attacks on our unions’ right to collectively bargain, and work to strengthen and expand Medicare and Social Security.”
